Project Description
I was hired by IRD Group to develop an iOS and Andriod mobile app for their sales product Prospector. Prospector lets customers get fresh, quality leads every day that can help you sell more. IRD Group journalists discover company strategic changes every day that allow you to target the right people, at the right time for the right reason. Use the built-in contact information to reach out straight away when the deal looks right. Build a custom list of companies with key details at your fingertips.

Easy Contacts
Detailed contact information for including email and phone number letting you contact possible sales leads on the go right on the phone.
Swipe to Save
Every sales lead is shown in a clear and clean card, and with the swipe feature, you can quickly swipe to save or skip the sales lead.
Hot, Recent & Saved Lists
The Prospector sales leads are broken down into recent, hot, and saved scrollable lists for easy viewing and access.
One Click Navigation & Calling
Prospector includes company contact information, allowing you to contact the right person with an easy button click.
Easy Search & Share
Search for sales leads based on keywords and share each lead with team members using the share feature.
Initial Problem
Zero Access Backend
The Prospector platform was developed using .net on Microsoft servers; there was no access to it or the database to make any changes or updates.
Old School API
The Prospector platform API used XML and SOAP, which created new challenges when working with new tech, and at the same time, we didn't want to load all the data into the mobile app.
Cross-Platform Requirements
We were required to have Android and iOS ready on the launch date to provide real value for existing Prospector customers.
Existing Users
The Prospector platform already had existing users, and with no way to access the current database or update the current backend, we had to come up with a solution.
Our Solution
Google Firebase to The Rescue
We used Google Firebase's backend as a service to quickly set up a new simple backend with user authorization and database, which was an excellent low-cost solution for our client.
Custom Parser & New API's
As we are using Google Firebase, it was easy to set up a custom parser using Node, pulling in the SOAP APIs from the Prospector platform, parsing the data we need, and creating new mobile APIs using JSON.
Google Flutter
Almog Development Studio focuses on Flutter development. In doing so, we provided both Aniord and iOS mobile apps at a cost effect price meeting the client's requirements.
User Generate Passwords
We created a script that took all existing users and generated a temporary password; once the a current user logged into the mobile app, we triggered an auto password reset.
Finale Results
The final result was a high-performance mobile app developed in Google Flutter using Google Firebase as the backend for iOS and Android. The Prospector mobile app had a simple and easy-to-use UI and user experience while providing excellent features and value to Prospector customers.
