Two sides, one person

I started in the IDF Special Forces. It taught me the habits I still use most: plan for the failure case, brief clearly, and own the outcome when it’s your call.

I served two years in the US Navy as an engineer and boat coxswain, then volunteered with the Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club in Sydney. On the water you learn to stay calm when conditions change, and to make decisions quickly with incomplete information.

I’m also a PADI Divemaster, which mostly means checklists and patience.

My engineering career started in the Flash era, building kiosks, touch tables, AR and games for Intel, Nokia, Bayer, Medtronic and Merck Serono. Everything ran in public, on a convention floor, with no second take. That’s why this site is interactive.

I also founded the Flash/Flex Israel and Meteor Tel Aviv developer communities, which grew to 500–650+ attendees with sponsors including Wix, Adobe, Yahoo and RIM.

As CTO and co-founder I built Scoreoid, a funded gaming backend-as-a-service with a 4,500+ developer community, and Platfarm, a Techstars-backed agri-tech company that reached paying customers and exited via a share sale.

In Sydney I built Sitemate’s offline-first Construction Cloud app for field teams, then led an 8-engineer team on Boral Connects, with 65% faster deployments and $500K a year in savings.

I’m an active K9 search and rescue handler with Echo, my Belgian Malinois. We train and deploy to find missing people, including operations with the Unidad Canina de Búsqueda y Rescate de Castellón in Spain.

DogBase came out of problems I hit as a handler. The best products I’ve built started as tools I needed myself.

Since December 2022 I’ve been founder, CEO and CTO of DogBase (Techstars ’23, NVIDIA Inception, Latitude59 2026 winner), used by working-dog teams in 10+ countries, with a distributed team of 10 engineers. Alongside it I take on a small number of fractional CTO and AI engagements.

I’m based in Tallinn and open to the right full-time role.
