A CTO’s judgment, without the $250K seat
One senior person who owns your technology decisions, including the AI ones, and then helps ship them. For funded startups and SMBs that need a technical leader before they need a full-time one.
// sound familiar?
- You don’t have a technical co-founder, and every decision is a guess
- Investors keep asking about your AI strategy, and you don’t have a good answer
- The team is busy but shipping slowly, and you can’t tell why
- You’re locked into an agency or freelancers, and you can’t judge their work
- Technical due diligence is coming up, or a big customer’s security review
- You need to hire engineers, but you don’t know what good looks like
// what i own
I own your technology strategy. In 2026, that means owning your AI strategy too.
- An AI strategy you can defend to investors: tool evaluation and responsible adoption
- Architecture and scaling decisions that fit the budget
- Hiring and leading engineering teams (5 to 15 engineers across client startups)
- AI-assisted engineering: Claude Code, MCP and team-wide AI development standards
- Investor readiness and technical due diligence

“Almog came in and built our development capability from nothing. He interviewed and hired our AI engineer, stood up the team, and shipped our first AI project. He operated like a CTO who was fully invested in the business, not a consultant billing hours.”

Questions
How is this different from a consultant?
A consultant hands you a report. A fractional CTO owns the technology decisions and their outcomes, sits in your leadership meetings, and is accountable for the team shipping.
Do you write code?
On the Embedded tier, yes: I lead the team and ship alongside it. On Advisor and Fractional CTO I review architecture and code, and mostly lead.
I’m not technical. Is that a problem?
That’s who this is built for. I turn technical choices into business trade-offs you can actually decide on.
Can you help us hire a full-time CTO?
Yes. Defining the role, interviewing candidates and handing over is part of the job.
Can we start smaller?
Yes. The AI Readiness Audit ($2,500, 2 weeks) gives you a written plan and a walkthrough. It’s credited toward a retainer that starts within 30 days.
Where are you, and what about time zones?
I’m based in Tallinn, Estonia, and work remotely across time zones, with overlap hours agreed up front.
Need a technical leader before you can hire one?
Start with a free 30-minute call. Honest feedback on fit, even if the answer is “you don’t need me.”
